Hi. Please introduce yourself.

Ev Jones! A 24 year old artist and illustrator working out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I recently Graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, and have been struggling and without sleep ever since!

How are you today?

Damn fine, sir!

Describe your art in three non-words.

BOOF! RAWR! BOI-OI-OING!

What is something about you that people wouldn't know just by looking at you?

I have the uncanny ability to fall asleep in the shower.

What does art mean to you?

Art is everything. It blows my mind how everything around us IS art. Everything we own is designed by SOMEONE. From the chairs we sit in, to the clothes we wear, to the food we eat. Creative minds come up with this stuff, and that to me is art in it's most raw form. I adore that.

If you were forced to change professions, what would you choose as an alternative to creating art?

Maybe I'd be a hair stylist? Or a baker/pastry chef? I just can't imaging doing something that doesn't allow me to be creative and work with my hands to make something that's beautiful.

What really grinds your gears?

Megan Fox. I don't even have sufficient reason as to why. She just does.

If you could egg and toilet paper any one persons house, alive or dead, who would it be?

Christopher Walken. Not because I don't like him. I just think it would be hilarious to hear him yell in anger at me over the ordeal. Or he might even be the type of dude that's into it and would join in! That would be rad.

What is the very first thing you remember creating?

I drew a naked picture of Cindy Crawford in 3rd grade. Got in heaps-o-trouble for that one.

When did you know that art was your bread and butter?

It's just something I've always done. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I really could never be truly happy doing anything else, and so began really putting a conscious effort into advancing and pursuing freelance work. Still a struggle at times, but determined to make it my one and only.

Do you look for inspiration or does it find you?

It's a little bit of both. I'm always searching for new inspiration. I've been searching a lot of patterns, sea life photos, and looking through hairstyle books and nudie mags as of late, so that becomes a big influence for sure. But there certainly is always that something that pops into your head or slaps you across the face without warning, and you're just forced to get into it.

You're standing in the middle of a field with no one around, what do you yell at the top of you lungs?

PENIS

Any regrets?

Not coming up with a better answer for that last question

Some of the subject matter in your art is a bit risqué, what does your family think?

Hardly any problems. They've always been supportive and understand I do what I do because it makes me happy. My mom is always trying to help me out actually, always going to garage sales and buying me old dirty magazines for inspiration. She gets excited. It's really pretty funny. And really sweet. She loves to know she's helping

You're stuck on a deserted island with plenty of food and water, but can only choose one thing to create with? what would it be?

Well do i get paper too? Or would i have to learn to learn how to do that myself from whatever resources available to me on said island? Still, i don't know. I love playing with everything. I guess probably dip ink and pens/brushes. Or just pencil, keep itreal basic.

What's the first thing you thought when you got up this morning?

Why am I in a tropical aviary with peanut butter smeared on my ass and WHY can't I wake up like this EVERY morning?

Who is the first artist, which after seeing their work for the first time inspired you?

Oh wow. That's a toughie. Audrey Kawasaki maybe? Always so seductive. Always so subtle. Always so beautiful. Same goes for Mucha

Favorite superpower?

Super Strength! Hulk Smash!

What has been your proudest moment thus far?

I was recently was contacted by www.2edgedmag.comto be featured in an upcoming issue of their online art magazine! They have some really beautiful artists and just a super fine set up to their magazine. I feel honored to be associated with such a collective of fine talented folks.

Where do you see yourself in 7 years?

Striving to do better.

If you had one wish?

I'd wish for more wishes. DUH
